She is lit from within by ten 5mm LED lights, and has a timer function (6 hours on, 18 hours off). battery-operated, this treetop uses 3 AA batteries (not included). Timer functions starts when the batteries are placed into the angel treetopper. Item comes with a try-me function, try-me function is meant to show how the item works, not to be mistaken as a power button. Try-me function needs to be removed before adding batteries.
