Safety First
The enclosed anti-entrapment side panels physically block swimmers, especially children, from getting behind or underneath the ladder, which is one of the most common above-ground pool entrapment hazards. Combined with double handrails and non-slip perforated steps, this ladder addresses the three biggest risks at the point of entry: falls, slips, and entrapment.
Installation
Assembly is straightforward for a DIY owner with basic hand tools. Once assembled, the ladder is anchored to your pool deck using standard mounting hardware (sourced separately to match your deck material), and the top side panel is filled with 40–50 lbs of filter sand to act as ballast. Plan on roughly 60–90 minutes from the box to first swim.
Deck-Mount vs. A-Frame — Which Should You Choose?
This is a deck-mounted ladder — it anchors permanently to your pool deck for rock-solid stability but requires an existing deck. If you don't have a deck, or you want a ladder that works on the ground with a second set of steps on the inside of the pool, consider a two-sided A-frame system instead. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a deck to use this ladder?
Yes. This is a deck-mounted ladder — it must be anchored to a pool deck or surrounding platform. If you don't have a deck, look at our A-frame or two-sided ladder options instead.
Will this fit my Intex or Bestway pool?
No. This ladder is designed for hard-sided above ground pools only. Soft-side pools don't provide the structural support needed.
What pool heights does it fit?
48" to 54" wall heights.
Why does it need sand? Can I skip that step?
No — the 40–50 lbs of filter sand goes inside the top step's side panel to act as ballast, weighing the ladder down against swimmer weight and movement. Skipping it compromises stability and safety.
Is mounting hardware included?
No. Deck-mount hardware is not included because the right anchors depend on your deck material (wood, composite, or concrete). Any hardware store carries what you'll need.
How much weight can it hold?
Rated for 350 lbs.
How wide are the steps?
32" wide — significantly wider than standard pool ladder rungs, which makes entry and exit easier for kids, older adults, and anyone with mobility concerns.
What's the warranty?
90-day limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
