Overview

The Unicel C-8341 is a pleated polyester spa cartridge filter element engineered as the outer component of the Master Spas Eco-Pur dual-stage filtration assembly, delivering 40.0 sq ft of filtration area through a high-pleat-count Reemay nonwoven polyester media pack. Nominal filtration efficiency is rated at 20 microns under standard test conditions. The element features ABS injection-molded end caps with proprietary mating geometry specific to the Master Spas Eco-Pur housing architecture, supporting a coaxial inner-element configuration. End cap bonding adhesive is UV-stabilized and rated for continuous service at spa operating temperatures up to 115°F, with intermittent excursions to 120°F. The element is rated for continuous operation within the 5–15 PSI pressure range typical of residential spa circulation systems.

Service interval recommendation: rinse with fresh water every 2–4 weeks under standard residential bather load; chemical soak (dilute TSP or commercial enzyme cleaner) every 4–6 weeks to remove body oils, lotions, and surfactant residues that resist water-only rinsing. Replace the element at 12–15 month intervals for typical residential use, or upon ΔP rise ≥ 5 PSI above clean-filter baseline, whichever occurs first. The inner Eco-Pur core element should be replaced on its own manufacturer-specified cycle independent of the outer cartridge. Chemical compatibility: polyester fabric and ABS end caps tolerate continuous operation at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine or ≤ 30 ppm total bromine; muriatic acid soak at 1:20 dilution is compatible for calcium scale remediation (20 minutes maximum exposure, followed by thorough fresh-water rinse). Enzyme cleaners are compatible without restriction. Standard Unicel 90-day manufacturing defect warranty applies through authorized distribution.
