Overview

The Unicel C-8325 is a pleated polyester cartridge filter element engineered for the Pentair Triton II TX-25 single-cartridge housing platform, delivering 125 sq ft of filtration area through a high-density Reemay nonwoven polyester media pack. Dimensional specifications: 8.5-inch OD, 4.0-inch ID, 23.3125-inch overall length with extended molded ABS end caps configured open-top, open-bottom for standpipe seating in the Triton II canister. Core construction is heavy-wall PVC pipe to support the pressure profile of single-cartridge high-flow residential systems. Rated flow is 125 GPM at 15 PSI clean differential, with operating pressure capacity to 50 PSI and continuous service temperature to 104°F. Nominal filtration efficiency is 20 microns under standard test conditions, sized for full-flow turnover on pool volumes up to 35,000 gallons at industry-standard 6-hour turnover targets.

Service interval recommendation: rinse at ΔP ≥ 8 PSI above clean-filter operating baseline, with full chemical soak (TSP or enzyme cleaner, 12-hour minimum dwell) every 3–6 months depending on bather load and source water hardness. Annual replacement is recommended, or sooner if fabric channeling, pleat collapse, or end cap separation is observed during inspection. The element is compatible with muriatic acid wash at 1:20 dilution (20-minute maximum exposure) for calcium scale removal; rinse thoroughly before reinstallation and verify post-installation pressure against documented clean baseline. Polyester media tolerates continuous service at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine and standard bromine sanitization; enzyme cleaners are compatible without restriction.
