Overview

The Unicel C-2613 is a pleated polyester cartridge filter element engineered for low-flow spa and small-volume pool applications, delivering 12.0 sq ft of effective filtration area through a Reemay nonwoven polyester media pack. Construction features ABS injection-molded end caps in a closed-bottom, open-flow top configuration suited to standard top-load spa housings. Nominal filtration efficiency is 15 microns under standard test conditions. The element is rated for continuous service to 104°F in pool service and to 115°F intermittent in spa-rated installations, with operating pressure tolerance through the residential range of 5–25 PSI. End cap bond chemistry is formulated for resistance to standard sanitizer chemistry without delamination across the rated service envelope.

Service interval recommendation: rinse with fresh water every 2–4 weeks; chemical soak in dilute TSP or enzyme cleaner every 4–6 weeks to displace body oils, lotions, and surfactants that resist water-only rinsing. Replace at ≤ 3-month intervals on daily-use spa installations or ≤ 12-month intervals on light residential pool service; alternate replacement trigger is ΔP ≥ 5 PSI above clean-filter baseline for spa service or ΔP ≥ 8 PSI for pool service. Chemical compatibility: polyester media and ABS end caps tolerate continuous operation at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine or ≤ 30 ppm total bromine; muriatic acid soak at 1:20 dilution (20-minute maximum exposure) is compatible for calcium scale removal, followed by thorough freshwater rinse prior to reinstallation.
