The Unicel C-8350 is a pleated polyester cartridge filter element engineered for Pentair TX-35 residential and light commercial pool filtration systems, delivering 50.0 sq ft of effective filtration area through a Reemay nonwoven polyester media pack on a rigid PVC core assembly. Dimensional specifications: 7.0-inch OD, 2.0-inch ID open top, 18.3125-inch overall length with molded ABS end caps configured for a closed-bottom, open-top mounting orientation. Nominal filtration efficiency is 20 microns under standard test conditions. Rated flow capacity is 50 GPM at clean operating differential, with continuous service rated to 104°F and operating pressures to 50 PSI. End cap geometry is held to ±0.030 inch on the seating surfaces to ensure positive bypass-free seal in OEM housings.

Service interval recommendation: residential installations — pressure-differential-based replacement triggered at ΔP ≥ 8–10 PSI above clean-filter operating baseline, or on an annual calendar cycle, whichever occurs first. Rinse cycle every 4–6 weeks under standard bather load; chemical soak with TSP or enzyme cleaner every 3–6 months to address oils, surfactants, and organic loading that resist standard rinse procedures. Acid wash compatibility: muriatic acid at 1:20 dilution, 20-minute maximum exposure, for calcium scale remediation; rinse thoroughly prior to reinstallation. Chlorine tolerance: continuous service at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine; bromine compatible without restriction. ABS end cap construction is compatible with standard acid wash procedures; urethane bonding agents are not used on this element.
