The element is rated for continuous service at temperatures to 115°F with intermittent excursions to 120°F, accommodating the elevated thermal duty cycle of fully insulated portable spas. End cap bonding and fabric heat-set retention are specified for sustained operation under typical spa circulation pressures of 5–15 PSI.

Spa cartridge service intervals require accelerated cycles relative to pool elements: fresh-water rinse every 2–4 weeks, chemical soak (dilute TSP or dedicated enzyme cartridge cleaner) every 4–6 weeks to remove body oils, lotions, and surfactants that resist mechanical rinse.
