Media construction is Reemay nonwoven polyester at nominal 15-micron filtration efficiency, supported on a rigid center core with closed-bottom and SAE thread-handle top end cap geometry typical of the Marquis-family form factor. End caps are injection-molded for chemical and thermal stability across the standard spa operating range, with continuous service rated to 104°F and intermittent excursions to 120°F acceptable per manufacturer testing. Pleat geometry is optimized for the low-flow, high-cycle duty profile of residential spa circulation pumps operating in the 5–15 PSI range, delivering full rated surface area utilization without channeling under typical bather loads.

Service interval recommendation: rinse with fresh water every 2–4 weeks under daily use; chemical soak in dilute TSP or commercial enzyme cleaner every 4–6 weeks to address oils, surfactants, and organic residue that resist mechanical rinsing. Replacement trigger: ΔP ≥ 5 PSI above clean-filter operating baseline, or at 12-month maximum service life for continuous-use spas, whichever occurs first.
