Media construction is Reemay-grade nonwoven polyester at nominal 20-micron filtration efficiency, supported on a closed-bottom molded ABS end cap with an integrated male SAE-thread top cap for direct standpipe engagement. Coreless pleat-pack construction is rated for the low-flow, elevated-temperature service profile of residential spa circulation systems (5–15 PSI operating range, continuous service to 104°F with intermittent excursions to 120°F). End cap adhesive bond is formulated for sustained chemical exposure under standard spa water chemistry, and pleat geometry is optimized for surfactant and body-oil loading characteristic of spa applications.

Service interval recommendation: rinse with fresh water every 2–4 weeks; chemical soak with dilute TSP or commercial enzyme/degreaser every 4–6 weeks to remove accumulated oils, lotions, and surfactant residues that resist standard rinsing. Replacement interval: 12–15 months under typical residential spa duty cycles, or earlier when ΔP rises ≥ 5 PSI above clean-filter operating baseline. Chemical compatibility: polyester media and ABS end cap tolerate continuous service at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine or ≤ 30 ppm total bromine; muriatic acid soak at 1:20 dilution is compatible for calcium scale removal (20-minute maximum exposure, thorough rinse before reinstallation).
